Disenchanted trip

Was on a church trip at Dusseldorf for 3 days.

Totally unexpected.

I expected a series of events to occur. I didn't care about anything else. I didn't care about where we go, where we stay, what we eat, or anything else. The whole purpose of the trip was 1) unwind and 2) meet someone. The former was fulfilled to some level. There was two things in my mind, but wasn't serious nor moderate. The latter was...unexpected. :/

Oh well.

Still, managed to mingle with people. I guess some people were surprised that I can and know how to mingle. Am sure this trip gave 'em an eye-opener about me... ^^

Anyways, am glad to meet with some new people, and getting to know more about the people that I've meet before but don't regular see. And *sigh* generally have someone in my head all the time doesn't quite help...

The entire group was a good mix of different background and generations - from the youngest of few years old to the oldest of 70s/80s? The group wasn't large, so it was pretty easy to move around and get to know different people.

So, the most intriguing thing that I learnt through real experience from others is that in any business, know/learn the tricks and play the game. Fine, it's nothing new to me, but it was exhilarating to learn the details behind certain businesses/events from older generations.

Nothing is new under the sun. What's different is the form and style.

I wonder if I'll ever meet them again...

I wonder...

Am exhausted.

Back to Germany this weekend for...!
